Founder & CEO
Kumar is the Founder & CEO of Nanda Hospitality Group. With over 30 years of hospitality experience, Kumar brings a wealth of knowledge of the industry to Nanda Hospitality Group. From a grass-roots beginning, Kumar has worked in all roles within the restaurant growing from an entry-level dishwasher to forming Nanda Hospitality Group through a series of strategic acquisitions over the course of the company’s existence, building the largest franchisee within the Recipe Unlimited (TSX: RECP) system.
Kumar has been the recipient of several top-operator awards over his tenure in the business, and is a seasoned turn-around management executive. His motivation today remains to continue building a best-in-class restaurant operation through Nanda Hospitality Group.
Kumar also currently sits as Chairman & Founder of Nanda Capital Group.
Harry is currently the Head of Corporate Development & Strategy at Nanda Hospitality Group where he oversees all aspects of the restaurant direct investing platform and corporate vision. Harry has over eight years of experience within the hospitality sector and has held a multitude of positions from front-line employee to owner-operator. Harry also serves as the Principal of Nanda Capital Group.
Prior to this role, he was at Waypoint Investment Partners, a multi-disciplinary asset manager focused on deploying capital in both public and private equity domains. Harry has also held roles at Gluskin Sheff & Associates & Sentry Investments as an Equity Analyst, and Barclays Capital as an Investment Banking Analyst. During this time, he was involved in corporate strategy, assessing capital allocation policy, and underwriting strategic investments across a variety of sectors.
Harry received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance, with high distinction, and was awarded the Alumni Gold Medal for graduating in the top percentile of his class from the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University.
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Tony is the Vice President of Operations of Nanda Hospitality Group where he oversees the operations team & the day-to-day operations of Nanda Hospitality Group’s restaurants. With over 20 years of hospitality experience in all aspects of a restaurant, Tony is a seasoned hospitality executive. Tony specializes in back-of-the house operations and also oversees all aspects relating to renovations & construction within the Nanda Hospitality Group restaurants.
Tony earned a Business degree at the Humber College / Ryerson University joint program.
Fun Fact: Tony is a Master Chef & Foodie and is always experimenting with different menus and recipes at his home.
Ashley is the Senior Operations Manager of Nanda Hospitality Group where she oversees the day-to-day operations of her restaurants with a continuous focus on Nanda Hospitality Group’s KPI’s. With over 13 years of hospitality experience, Ashley brings a significant amount of knowledge that is drawn upon at the restaurant level daily – this comes from her experience in all positions within the restaurant. Ashley specializes in off-premise & heart-of-house operations and is also instrumental in the training and human capital development of the group.
Ashley received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Operations, with honours, from the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University.
